Jerry L. Lane is one of twelve children of the late Abraham and Ella B. Lane.  He was raised in the rural town of Morris Station, Georgia located in Randolph County and educated in the Randolph County School system and graduated from Randolph County Comprehensive High School In Cuthbert, Georgia. 

 

After graduating High School he enlisted in the United States Army and served twenty one years; he received many honors, awards and decorations. While in the Army he met and married Ms. Evelyn Ray of Boston, Massachusetts and they had one daughter, Crystal Nequess Lane. teach, inspire, and influence at risk teens and children.

After retirement from the Army he attained his undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology at Regents University of New York, located in Albany, New York. He earned his Master of Divinity, at Erskine Theological Seminary, in Due West, South Carolina.

 

He is fortunate to have been given the opportunity to serve as local pastor from West Germany to South, Carolina where he witnesses and shares God’s Word. During this time he lost his loving late wife of 26 years to her well fought battle,  and he gained the real meaning of life do to breast cancer. He continues cherishing the time he spends with his daughter and four wonderful grandchildren. He values being an intricate part of their development and life.

 

Through the “Shown them We Care Foundation”, Jerry volunteers and helps teach, inspire, and influence at risk teens and children.

 

He resides along the Palmetto Trail between Pomaria, South Carolina and Prosperity, South Carolina where you will find him outside hiking, gardening, or photographing nature.
